This Day In Hockey History, The New York Islanders became the first U.S based team to win three consecutive Stanley Cups when they defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 on the strength of two Mike Bossy goals in Game Four of the Finals. The win would give the New York Islanders dynasty status as one of the NHL greatest teams.
