Anthony James Esposito “Tony O”, the diminutive goaltender from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. I feel badly for Tony as he had a stellar career playing part of his first season in the NHL with the Montreal Canadians and the remainder of his 16 years with the Chicago Blackhawks. No, I don’t feel badly that he played for Montreal, but rather that he was never able to win a Stanley Cup during his career, as Montreal was always there to thwart him. In the 1970-1971 Stanley Cup Final Esposito and his Blackhawks lost in seven games, then again in 1972-1973 he and his Hawks lost in six games, both times to the Montreal Canadians.
