This Day In Hockey History June 1, 1992. The Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the Chicago Blackhawks 6-5 in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals to win their second consecutive championship. With the win, the Penguins won 11 straight playoff victories. Along the way, Pittsburgh defeated Washington Capitals 4-3, New York Rangers 4-2, and the Boston Bruins 4-0.
