(NHL news), The Green Men, known as Force (Adam Forsyth ) and Sully (Ryan Sullivan) made their first appearance on December 22, 2009. They are known for antagonizing the opposition at Vancouver Canucks home games.
The duo’s antics include hand stands against the glass, staring down players sitting in the penalty box, and the use of cutout’s of Carrie Underwood when the Canucks play Nashville Predators or Vince Vaughn when the Canucks host the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Green Men have said from day one that if the Canucks were to win the Stanley Cup that they would hang up their suits. The Canucks have yet to win the Stanley Cup, their last best chance was during the 2011 NHL playoffs, when they fell to the Boston Bruins in seven games.
On November 7, 2014 the Green Men announced that they would retire at the end of the season.
Since October of 2019, the emerald clad duo are commenting NFL games through their podcast at the World Sports Network site.
