On February 16, 1983, Buffalo Sabres defeat the Boston Bruins 3-1 at the Aud, ending goalie Pete Peeter’s unbeaten streak at 26-0-5 (one game short of the N.H.L. record for goalies).
Peeter’s began his NHL career with the Philadelphia Flyers in 1980 where he shared goaltending duties with Phil Myre. Peeters started his career that season with a 22-0-5 record before suffering his first NHL regular season defeat On February 19. He would play for three teams during his career, beginning with the Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals.
