Can You Guess Who I’am? (National Hockey League)

Can You Guess Who I'am?

Can You Guess Who I’am? I am a long-time member of the Calgary Flames. I first entered the Flames organization in 1983. I have many ties to organizations across the city of Calgary. I have worked for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League, and I make guest appearances throughout Calgary and all of Southern Alberta all year long.

Saddle Dome

I made my first appearance in an NHL game on February 16, 1984, at the Saddle Dome, where my Flame teammates and I celebrated a 10-3 win over the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins.

The high points in my career came in 1989 when I was there to celebrate our first Stanley Cup win, and the other was when the NHL asked me to make guest appearances at 7 All-Star Games and tour Japan to showcase the NHL.

Now Can You Guess Who I’am? Here’s a clue, you may be barking up the wrong tree.

You may remember the night of January 20, 2003, at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary. I became embroiled in a physical incident with Craig MacTavish, the Edmonton Oilers‘ visiting head coach. With the Flames up 4-0, I began barking at MacTavish; the Oilers bench didn’t take kindly to my provocations and proceeded to squirt water at me. I growled loudly in protest when suddenly the Oilers coach reached over and grabbed my tongue, tearing it out of my mouth and tossing it into the crowd ever since I have been in Craig MacTavish’s dog house. I have a nose for trouble, and if I should ever come across coach MacTavish, I will have a bone to chew with him.
